The MJ contour powders also have some kick up, again because they’re creamy, but it’s not much. And by a lot, I mean a lot– no exaggerating here! That in part has to do with how creamy the product is and just because there is kick up does not mean this looks powdery on the skin. The only downside to both powders in the Wet n Wild Contouring Palette is the fact that there is a lot of kick up when you tap your brush into the product. The powder itself is pigmented, applies smoothly, and is easy to blend if you don’t apply too much product at once. If you are very fair skinned, the Wet n Wild contour side will probably be too orangey and dark so swatch at your own behest! It’s not cool toned like the Marc Jacobs contour powder by any means, but on my medium skin it works. ![]() I thought this shade would be horrible for contouring with, but oddly enough, if used lightly, it does work. The contour is definitely on the warm side and pretty dark, but as long as you’re light handed it is easy to blend out. I didn’t find it to make my under eyes overly dry either, which is good because I personally hate dry under eyes. It is really smooth, pigmented, and makes your under eyes look and feel smooth. The matte highlight is a pale yellow tone that is more yellow than the Marc Jacobs one. Marc Jacobs Contour Powder vs Wet n Wild Contouring Palette Contour could be too warm/ orangey for some skin tones.I picked up the reformulated version (the one with the faces on the back) in the shade Caramel Toffee, which has a matte yellow powder and a warm brown shade for contouring. This wasn’t an easy product for me to find, but I’m glad I was able to finally hunt it down. On the other end of the price spectrum is the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contouring Palette. ![]() Marc Jacobs #instamarc contour powders in Mirage and Wet n Wild MegaGlow Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee. You can read my full review of the Marc Jacobs Mirage Contouring Powder here. The powders are so creamy and buttery that they basically blend themselves so even if you’re not a contouring pro, you’ll have it down. ![]() The light matte yellow shade is perfect for setting your under eye concealer and brightening, while the cool toned contour powder mimics a natural shadow really well and doesn’t look muddy. I’m no contouring pro, but I do have a favorite contouring and highlighting duo– the Marc Jacobs Contour Powders in Mirage.
